Adidas have unveiled the Bayern Munich away shirt for next season, and Manchester United targets Bastian Schweinsteiger and Thomas Muller are at the front of the picture.

But does this mean the pair will not be heading to Old Trafford next season after all?

Probably not as in recent years most of the big summer signings have promoted the new strip only to leave soon after - Gareth Bale from Tottenham to Real Madrid in 2013, Luis Suarez from Liverpool to Barcelona last year and even this summer Raheem Sterling, the wantaway Liverpool winger, sported the Reds shirt, much to the dismay of the Liverpool supporters at the unveiling. He is expected to leave the club to join Manchester City this summer.

The Independent reported this morning that United manager Louis van Gaal is enthusiastic about the striker Muller, whom he helped to develop when manager of the German club, although it may take a sum of at least £60m to secure Muller’s services.

Muller had previously said he was flattered to be linked with United: "When you get an offer you consider it automatically. A request by a big club is an honour and appreciation that your output was good."
