Could the Paul Pogba transfer saga finally be coming to an end? Careful now, we've heard that one before.

According to The Guardian, Manchester United have made a 'fresh' offer of approximately €110m, with a further €10m attached in add-ons (£100m in total).

Whether this is the same bid that was reported on Sunday, when Juventus were apparently seeking a further €10m, is unclear. Nevertheless, the deal could now be done "within 48 hours".

The Sun, on the other hand, believe it's been completed already.

The tabloid's 'world exclusive' claims Pogba's price will higher - £112m, to be precise - and Mino Raiola's well-earned £20m fee will be paid in full by United.

All very confusing but, straying away from speculation, we know for a fact that the 23-year-old midfielder uploaded a picture of himself to Instagram on Wednesday using a red, white and black filter. It's a done deal, surely?

Elsewhere, Matteo Darmian could be heading for United's exit door.

The Italy defender lost his way after a promising start to life at Old Trafford and could now be set for a return to his mother country with Napoli.

After all, the Serie A side's bank balance is looking a lot healthier after Gonzalo Higuain's £75.3m move to Juventus.

And finally, we all know how much Jose Mourinho admires John Stones, but it appears that Manchester City are in pole position for his signature.

According to the Daily Mail, Pep Guardiola could snare the Everton defender by the end of the week.
