What a manic Monday it has been for Manchester United.

Instead of rushing into everything tomorrow on deadline day, the club have been very busy today according to reports, agreeing to buy an untested 19-year-old for £36m, loaning out another, plus agreeing to sell two first-team players, including finally agreeing to sell David De Gea to Real Madrid.

The day started with the news that United had bid £36m for the Monaco winger Anthony Martial. Soon after this the French Football Federation announced that he had left the national team camp to fly to Manchester. He has now arrived at the club's Carrington training ground.

Then came the pictures of Javier Hernandez over in Bayer Leverkusen. The Mexican striker is over in Germany as he nears a £9m transfer.

Sticking with players leaving United, this afternoon Adnan Januzaj completed a season-long loan move to Borussia Dortmund.

The David De Gea saga also entered it's final chapter today.

United finally accepted a bid from Real Madrid to sell want-away goalkeeper, worth a reported £22m, with the Spaniard now free to negotiate a deal with the La Liga club ahead of the midnight transfer window deadline.

Real have been forced to rush through with their plans to try and sign De Gea, who is yet to make an appearance this season after United manager Louis van Gaal claimed he had lost the focus to represent the club in the Premier League.

However, with one year left on his United contract, De Gea would be free to leave the club for nothing at the end of the season, and United have wisely chose to cash-in on the 24-year-old given that he has shown no signs of wanting to extend his current deal.
