United transfer targets
The Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, conceded on Monday that he did not know whether the Argentine has decided to stay or leave this summer.
United are desperate for a marquee signing before the close of the transfer window and the acquisition of Di Maria at that price would be the second time they have broken the club’s transfer record in the last eight months.
Di Maria has been a target all summer for United, albeit with the club unconvinced that he was serious about coming to Old Trafford.
Ancelotti could not be definitive about Di Maria’s future but said that the 26-year-old was in contention to play one of the two Super Copa games against the league champions Atletico Madrid over the next four days.

“I don’t know what Di Maria has decided but I know that he is training and could play in the match,” the Real manager said.
