Mario Gotze is unsettled at Bayern Munich, and is a target for Arsenal and Manchester United, according to reports.

The Daily Express have claimed that he midfielder has a "difficult" relationship with coach Pep Guardiola, and would consider a move.

Germany's World Cup star, who scored the winning goal in last year's final, could join up with fellow Germans Per Mertesacker and Mesut Ozil at the Emirates Stadium.

The 23-year-old joined from Borussia Dortmund after Bayern met his €37m release clause in 2013. In total he has made 95 appearances for the German champions, scoring 31 goals.

The Gunners got their first win of the season at the weekend, defeating Crystal Palace 2-1 at Selhurst Park.

After the match, Gunners manager Arsene Wenger praised playmaker Mesut Ozil, but did say that he hoped that he adds more goals to his game.

"It's a pleasure to watch the quality of his passing and the intelligence of his passing," Wenger said.

"What I want from him more is a few more goals this He was absolutely magnificent. He works harder than many people think he does. He's not spectacular in his defending, but he wants to do the job and help the team.

"What I liked in his game today was he made many runs without the ball behind the defenders which is a bit new as he likes to come with the ball but today he mixed up his game better."
