Nani's Manchester United career could be finally over.

The winger says that despite the "warmth" of United fans asking him to return from his season-long loan at Sporting Lisbon, he wants to stay on in Portugal, as it is "one of the best moments of his career".

Asked whether there was a possibility he could cut his loan short and return to United in January, Nani said: "I do not think there is such a clause. It is a matter for other people to solve.

"It's good to feel the warmth of the United fans. They ask for my return, but I'm thinking only of continuing to work.

"This is one of the best moments of my career and I hope to continue it.

"Football is like: one day we are praised and criticized in others"

The 27-year-old, who arrived at Old Trafford in 2007 for in excess of £20m, has been in excellent form this season. He's scored six goals in 13 appearances for the club at which he rose to prominence. Among those is three goals in four Champions League appearances for the Portuguese side.
