Barcelona will offer Neymar a mammoth new five-year contract with a buy-out clause of €250m (£182m) to deter interest from Manchester United, according to reports.

Neymar's current deal expires in 2018, and the Spanish giants are keen to get his new contract sorted before the end of this season to avoid United coming in with another bid.

Reports from earlier this week stated that Neymar is "open" to making a move to the Premier League side.

The Brazil forward joined Barca from Santos for a reported £71m in 2013.

The Daily Mail have reported today that Barcelona had always planned to increase Neymar's earnings in his third year at the club and they are reportedly likely to offer him closer to star player Lionel Messi, who earns €20m (£14.6m) net.

United made an enquiry about the Brazilian in their negotiations to try and sign Pedro, who eventually joined Chelsea, but Barca are not considering a sale and will make Neymar the club's best-paid player after the Argentina ace.

Neymar's current buy-out fee is still a staggering £140m.
