Petr Cech has moved to clear up any confusion over the progress of his seemingly impending switch from Chelsea to Arsenal.

Reports yesterday suggested the Czech Republic goalkeeper's proposed cross-London transfer was a done deal, however Cech retweeted a message from his management company that denied that was the case.

The tweet from the The Sports PR Company that appeared in Cech's timeline read: "SportsPRCompany ... as we told you, No transfer deal has been done yet for PetrCech - as soon as any news PetrCech will confirm."

Neither club has confirmed the deal is on although Cech is widely expected to make the move for a fee of around £11m as the 33-year-old goes in search of regular football.

Cech - who has played an instrumental role in Chelsea's success since joining from Rennes in 2004 - found himself as understudy to Thibaut Courtois at Stamford Bridge last season, but Blues captain John Terry is in no doubt of just what an important player the 33-year-old can be, claiming he would save "12 to 15 points a season" for whichever club he joins.

In an interview given to talkSPORT from China, where the former England defender is on a promotional tour, Terry said: "I am sure if he does leave the club, which nobody wants to see, but we understand he wants to play football, he is going to be sorely missed. He will improve whatever side he goes to."

Terry added: "There is obviously talk of Arsenal signing Petr and if they do get Petr, that will strengthen them for sure. He will save them 12 to 15 points a season."
