Manchester United announced last night that they would not be signing Radamel Falcao on a permanent basis.

The decision came as little surprise; The Colombian scored just four goals during his season long-loan from Monaco and with a fee set at £43.2m, United decided it was simply too much - particularly for a 29-year-old with little re-sale value.
