Radamel Falcao has completed his transfer to Chelsea, according to two of his family members.

The striker's uncle and father have both said the deal has been completed.

Radamel Garcia revealed that the Colombian international's one-year loan move was done in an interview with Caracol TV last night. The Guardian report that the player's uncle has told them that the contract is signed.

It's understood that Chelsea have the option to make the deal permanent.

Falcao is expected to join up with his new team-mates at their pre-season training camp on 19 July - four days after the rest of the squad fly to the United States.

According to the Evening Standard, the Colombian, who spent last season on loan at Manchester United, has agreed personal terms over a £130,000-a-week deal.

Falcao had previously played alongside Blues hitman Diego Costa at Atletico Madrid. In addition, Mourinho and Falcao share the same agent, Jorge Mendes.

The 29-year-old Falcao had previously said he wants to stay in the Premier League next season, despite scoring only four goals in total in the division for United.

Mourinho had said about Falcao: "It really hurts me that people in England believe that Falcao is the guy they saw at Manchester United.

"He's a player I know, one that I've followed since Atletico Madrid and if I can help Falcao arrive at his level I will do it."
