Liverpool have entered the race to sign Manchester United flop Radamel Falcao, according to reports in France.

Football website Le Sport10 - we're not sure on the reliability of this - report that Brendan Rodgers could move for the AS Monaco striker, who managed just four goals for rivals United on loan last season.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has admitted he is an admirer of the Colombian and would like to help him "reach his level" at Stamford Bridge.

The report states that, like Chelsea, Liverpool will look to move the striker with a loan deal, although wages, like Chelsea, could be a problem.

Liverpool had obvious struggles with their strikers last season and Rodgers needs to find a solution.

Divock Origi will return from a mixed loan spell at Lille, while moves for Christian Benteke and Danny Ings have also been mooted.
