Radamel Falcao has not had a good tournament at the Copa America so far.
Jose Pekerman's side just managed to scrape into the knockout stages despite scoring just one goal in their three matches in the group stage, winning just one game, 1-0.
Falcao has been a real problem for them in the tournament and in three matches has registered just one shot on target, continuing the kind of poor performances that brought him just four goals for Manchester United last season.
He was hauled off in the poor 0-0 draw against Peru on Sunday night and the striker, who is linked with a move to Chelsea, did not impress fans of the Blues.
In fact, so poor was Falcao that Chelsea fans actively begged manager Jose Mourinho to reconsider going through with his signing - even suggesting that Emile Heskey would be a better option for the reigning Premier League champions.
Here are a few of the best Tweets:
Falcao is so far past it. Don't think he has either scored or assisted in Copa America. But he is gonna play for Champions of England.— #BoringChampions (@CFC_BULLETIN) June 22, 2015
I'd have Emile Heskey over Falcao. Bye— Ray Brad (@Griezmanned) June 21, 2015
Falcao is not young, not home grown & £130k/wk aint no small wage. I still can't figure out 1 single advantage of signing Falcao #CFC— Shoggy Dee (@Shoggy_Dee) June 22, 2015
Falcao, the tiger? More like the kitten.— Jezebel (@NYGurrrl) June 21, 2015
Falcao could be a dent or a huge boost to our title ambitions next season. Make or brake kinda gamble #CFC— FabregasIsMagic (@IAMRnjn) June 22, 2015
Would love to have Costa - Remy - Bamford rather than Costa - Falcao - Austin #CFC— Umer (@UmerBlue) June 22, 2015
...world-class Falcao is never coming back. Doesn't matter if he player under José or not. I'd prefer Sevilla's Bacca. #CFC— The Blue One (@FrChelsea) June 21, 2015
Sorry but Falcao is a bad idea #CFC— Ju de raisin (@JuJuSparkle) June 21, 2015
If i were Mourinho i would choose Bamford instead of falcao.#CFC— Tammy Abraham (@kimkarl1) June 21, 2015
Hopefully Jose is watching Falcao. We can't be seriously considering signing him. Should give Bamford a chance instead. #CFC— Mohamed Karem (@MohamedKarem88) June 21, 2015
Colombia face Argentina in the quarter-finals on Friday, one last chance for the striker to prove his worth to Chelsea fans.
