Raheem Sterling could receive a £4m windfall from a cut of his agent's fee should he make a £50m switch from Liverpool to Manchester City, it's reported.

The England international has signalled he wants to leave Anfield this summer and has already been the subject of £30m and £40m bids from Manchester City.

Manuel Pellegrini's side, who leave for Australia as part of their pre-season tour on Friday, are expected to return with an improved offer this week that comes closer to Liverpool's valuation of £50m

Should the deal go through, The Telegraph reports that Sterling could receive up to 50 per cent of his agent's fee, potentially netting the 20-year-old £4m.

Sterling, who rejected a £100,000-a-week offer to extend his contract, has always denied that money is his motivation for wanting to leave Anfield.

He has two years remaining on his current deal with Liverpool.
