Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp this morning declared himself happy with his transfer dealings.

Robbie Keane completed his return to White Hart Lane from Liverpool yesterday, for an initial fee of £12m.

He follows goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini and midfielder Wilson Palacios - and is a welcome arrival because of injury to Jermain Defoe.

Defoe was yesterday ruled out for up to 10 weeks with a stress fracture to his right foot.

Redknapp told Sky Sports News: "Jermain is a blow to us - he started well (since returning from Portsmouth) and got three goals.

"He was sure to score plenty more before the end of the season so we needed to get someone in and in Robbie we couldn't have got anyone better.

"People make decisions in their life and his move to Liverpool didn't work out.

"But we're pleased to have him back. The chairman (Daniel Levy) worked hard to keep him in the first place and to bring him back.

"It was difficult for Robbie. Liverpool are such a strong side going well in the league it was hard for him to break in regularly.

"We're delighted he's here - and it's the same with Cudicini and Palacios. They are good signings and I'm very pleased with the work we've done."
