Welcome to silly season, the time of year when stories of clubs spending ludicrous sums of money on players you've never heard of is par for the course. We take a look at some of today's most intriguing rumours...

While most of the talk around Tottenham concerns whether Gareth Bale will remain at the club, lets not forget that Spurs are also working on adding to the team. Apparently they are interested in signing Brazil midfielder Paulinho for £15m.

Elsewhere in north London, a couple of players who have been linked with moves away now want to stay at the Emirates. Arsenal duo Bacary Sagna and Laurent Koscielny could still be in red and white next season apparently. And they could be joined at the Emirates next season by 14-year-old Yan Dhanda. Rather typically, he's been labelled as a 'wonderkid' and Liverpool are sniffing around as well.

There's a Cesc Fabregas update as well - although he's simply saying what he said before - he wants to stay at Barcelona. Don't expect that to keep him from being linked with Manchester United and Arsenal for the rest of the summer.

Chelsea have made a defensive midfielder one of their top priorities and see £10m rated Geoffrey Kondogbia as their man.

And finally, David Beckham was apparently offered an American Football trial with an NFL side before he moved to PSG.
