5 August: Toulouse are expected to demand a huge fee from Tottenham for France youngster Moussa Sissoko. Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has looked at Sissoko as well as Patrick Vieira to bolster his midfield and also asked Real Madrid about Lassana Diarra, who has seen Xabi Alonso's arrival add to the competition at the Bernabeu.
5 August: Sunderland have finally landed striker Darren Bent in a club record £10m deal from Tottenham. After days of waiting, patience has finally paid off for Black Cats boss Bruce and Bent, who has signed a four-year contract.
5 August: Sunderland boss Steve Bruce knows patience is the key to finally landing Tottenham striker Darren Bent. An anticipated club record £12m move has dragged on for a number of days, resulting in growing frustration all round.
3 August: Darren Bent is close to joining Sunderland after arriving in the north-east for a medical. The striker, who joined Tottenham for £16.5m two years ago, arrived at Sunderland this morning for a medical, Press Association Sport understands.
3 August: Chelsea have warned they are not willing to sell Joe Cole after the England midfielder was linked with a move to Tottenham. Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is a long-time admirer of the former West Ham player, but Chelsea moved swiftly to quash suggestions Cole could leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
31 July: Darren Bent is at the centre of a transfer controversy after comments attributed to him were posted on an internet networking site. The 25-year-old striker has reportedly hit out at Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy as his proposed move to Sunderland drags on.
28 July: Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp believes he now has the right blend of strikers after completing the signing of Peter Crouch, while also confirming that Darren Bent is in talks over a move to Sunderland. Crouch, who has cost Spurs £9m, joins Robbie Keane, Jermain Defoe and Roman Pavlyuchenko at White Hart Lane while Bent is set to end his disappointing spell in north London.
28 July: Talks between Sunderland and Darren Bent are progressing today after the Tottenham striker was given permission to speak to the Black Cats about a potential club-record transfer. The 25-year-old did not travel on Spurs' pre-season trip to China yesterday as, after a deal was clinched for Portsmouth's Peter Crouch, the former Charlton forward was allowed to remain at home to negotiate a move away from White Hart Lane.
27 July: Sunderland manager Steve Bruce is beginning to run out of patience in his attempt to sign striker Darren Bent. With Peter Crouch expected to complete his move to Tottenham this week from Portsmouth, Bent could be heading to Wearside.
27 July: Peter Crouch will have a medical at Tottenham Hotspur today after the club agreed a £12m deal which makes the England striker the club's biggest earner. Spurs have beaten off competition from Fulham to secure the services of Crouch, who will join up with Harry Redknapp for the fourth time in his career after agreeing a four-year deal.
26 July: Portsmouth manager Paul Hart admitted that Crouch was on his way to Tottenham, with Harry Redknapp apparently succeeding in reuniting the striker with his former Pompey partner Jermain Defoe with a bid of around £10m.
8 July: Tottenham have agreed a fee with Sevilla for the sale of Didier Zokora to the Primera Division club. A statement on Spurs' website today confirmed the departure of the 28-year-old after three years at White Hart Lane.
