Kaspar Schmeichel
Towards the end of last season Spurs were reportedly keeping a close eye on Leicester City stopper Kasper Schmeichel. The son of Manchester United legend Peter, the 26-year-old had a good season in the Championship and attracted the attention of former manager Harry Redknapp. With first choice keeper Brad Friedel now in his forties, second choice Carlo Cudicini following close behind at 38 and the jury out on third choice Heurelho Gomes, Spurs could do with an injection of youth in reserve. Redknapp's departure may provide a lifeline to Gomes, who at one stage seemed certain to leave, but should he go Schmeichel would fit the understudy role well.
