Manchester United are ready to offload Robin van Persie this summer, with Edinson Cavani being eyed as his replacement, according to reports. RVP will have a year remaining on his Old Trafford contract this summer and with injuries and age against the Dutchman, United would prefer to make back some of the £24m they paid Arsenal rather than letting him go for free a year later. If they find a buyer, PSG striker Cavani is at the top of Louis van Gaal's wish list to replace him.

According to reports in Spain, Tottenham are to test Manchester United's resolve over Juan Mata with a cheeky bid of £18.3m. Despite some impressive performances since joining from Chelsea, there continue to be questions over the Spaniard's long-term role at Old Trafford. Apparently it's led Mauricio Pochettino to believe there is a chance Spurs can snatch him away this summer.

Gonzalo Higuain to Arsenal is back on. The Argentina international came close to joining the Gunners in the summer of 2013 before opting to link up with Napoli instead. According to reports he's unhappy in Italy and with Napoli looking likely to miss out on Champions League qualification, the situation is only going to get worse. Arsenal are apparently the favourites to sign him as they look to provide cover and competition for Olivier Giroud.

Liverpool are readying a move for Monaco midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia. The 22-year-old Frenchman is said to have impressed Anfield's scouts and according to reports in France the Reds will make a move for him this summer. Kondogbia joined his current club in a £20m deal from Sevilla in 2013 and impressed during the Champions League triumph over Arsenal.

West Ham have joined Tottenham in the race for Everton winger Kevin Mirallas. The Belgium international indicated earlier this year that a move could be on the cards by admitting his interest in a "new challenge". With a year to run on his contract this summer, a switch away from Goodison Park seems likely. The Hammers have enjoyed an impressive season in which huge advances have been made in the offensive department - the addition of Mirallas would continue the upward trend in attacking style.
