Liverpool continue to be linked with Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic as they seek a replacement for outgoing captain Steven Gerrard, who will join LA Galaxy at the end of the season.

However, according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato, French league champions Paris St-Germain are also in the hunt to land the Roma star, who has long been linked with a move to the Premier League.

According to The Mirror, Liverpool are also in the hunt to sign Lazio midfielder Felipe Anderson in the summer, with the 21-year-old coming under increasing interest following his recent strong performances for the Roma side.

With doubts over Per Mertesacker’s future at Arsenal being cast after he was dropped in favour of January signing Gabriel Paulista, the Metro reports that the Gunners are considering a move for Aleksandar Dragovic, and will take a closer look at the 24-year-old Austrian defender when he comes to Everton this week as Dynamo Kiev face the Toffees in the Europa League last-16.

North London rivals Tottenham are also reported to have launched their summer plans already, with a move for PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot believed to be in the pipeline. However, Spurs are yet to show any serious interest and the move is only in the preliminary stages at present.

Manchester United’s transfer plans also remain a subject of hot topic, with further reports that they will launch a £150m spending spree in the summer in a bid to address the serious problems they have in their squad. United’s sole chance at winning a trophy this season slipped from their grasp on Monday night as they suffered a 2-1 defeat to rivals Arsenal to crash out of the FA Cup.

A move for Porto defender Danilo continues to do the rounds, although both Barcelona and Real Madrid are also believed to be interested in the Brazilian. However, the right-back was knocked out during Porto’s 4-0 victory over Basel that took them comfortably through to the Champions League quarter-finals, and he was stretchered off the pitch before announcing that he was alright and had not suffered a serious injury.

There are reports that Danilo has already agreed a deal, believed to be for six years, with Real Madrid, as ESPN are reporting that the reigning European champions have already beaten their main rivals to his signature.
