Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says he will not be making another offer for Newcastle United's Yohan Cabaye, as he is happy with his options in midfield.
Wenger had a £12m bid for the French playmaker rejected during the summer, an offer which Newcastle manager Alan Pardew labelled as "disrespectful" at the time.
"No, we don't look for midfielders," Wenger told Sky Sports News after his Gunners side defeated Newcastle 1-0 at St James' Park on Sunday. "Today we did not have [Mesut] Ozil, we did not have [Aaron] Ramsey who stayed at home, but we still had three good midfielders and I still had [Mikel] Arteta on the bench.
"There is no real need in there."
Ozil, the club's £42.5m record signing from Real Madrid, is expected to be out for another week with a slight shoulder injury, while Ramsey is sidelined with a thigh injury, and could be out for at least a month.
