Bundesliga clubs on alert
Friday 20 December 2013
Chelsea's Kevin De Bruyne looks set for a move back to the Bundesliga when the January transfer window opens according to reports.
The German media have been reporting that the out-of-favour Belgian is preparing to leave Stamford Bridge after only half a season as a first team player.
It is thought that Chelsea may request a buy back clause in any deal, but De Bruyne is said to be keen to force a move through quickly in order to join up with a German club's winter training camp.
The midfielder has made just three league appearances this season after his excellent campaign spent on loan at Werder Bremen last year and it is understood he has been told by Chelsea that he is free to leave the club.
Following last season's exploits in the Bundesliga. which saw him rack up ten goals and nine assists, there are thought to be a host of German clubs interested in him including Bayer Leverkusen.
Bayer sporting director Rudi Voller said: “We are one of many clubs interested.”
