Transfer news: Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha to be sent out on loan in January - reports
The £15m signing is yet to make his debut in the Premier League
Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha looks set to be loaned out in January after failing to play a single minute of Premier League football this season.
The £15m signing, Sir Alex Ferguson's last before retirement, has been unable to make an impression. After being picked in the Community Shield victory over Wigan, David Moyes has opted for experience over youth, meaning not a single minute for the former Crystal Palace player despite being named among the substitutes on three occasions.
Zaha was signed last January before being immediately loaned back to Palace until the end of the season. If the reports are true that he will be allowed out on loan for the second half of the season, his former club will likely be first in line to take him in.
But Zaha won't be short of suitors. A host of Premier League clubs will be eager to offer the winger a chance to gain some experience. The 20-year-old has two caps for England and after signing for United, would have had hopes of forcing his way into Roy Hodgson's plans ahead of next summer's World Cup. A loan spell could see him still be on the plane to Brazil - should England qualify.
