A look at some of the more eye opening recent rumours from around the web

According to Marca, the Madrid-based daily newspaper, Liverpool Luis Suarez has been offered to Real Madrid. The report, describing Suarez as “a very attractive Christmas present” says that the Uruguayan striker is the first name on manager Carlo Ancelotti’s wish list.

Could the promising German international Julian Draxler be on his way to Manchester United? Goal have reported that the 20-year-old Schalke midfielder has been watched by United scouts and the club are weighing up a £30m January move for the player. He had been previously quoted as saying it “would be a dream to play in England” too.

Over at caughoffside, West Ham’s total lack of striking options this season will lead them to making an offer for Suarez’s international team-mate Diego Forlan. The former Manchester United forward, who now plays for Internacional has been linked with a loan move to Upton Park for the remainder of the season.

Another day, and another ‘wonderkid’ targeted by Arsenal. This time it is the Barcelona 17-year-old forward Toni Sanbria, who, according to the Daily Star, currently has a €3m release clause in his contract. Liverpool and Manchester City are also keeping tabs.

Newcastle United goalkeeper Tim Krul’s heroics have won many plaudits this season, and, according to The Sun, Juventus in particular have been taking note. The paper have reported that Magpies manager Alan Pardew has put a £20m price-tag on the Dutch ‘keeper to stave off the Italian giants’ interest.
