Transfer news round-up: Chelsea to launch loan move for Radamel Falcao; Carlo Ancelotti dismisses Alvaro Morata Arsenal move; Liverpool set to sign 'the next Zlatan Ibrahimovic'
A look at some of the more eye opening recent rumours from around the web

Chelsea’s striker merry-go-round shows no sign of stopping anytime soon after the latest reports have linked AS Monaco striker Falcao with a six-month loan move to Stamford Bridge. The Colombian is said to be unsettled in Monte Carlo and despite the Blues having three strikers on the books at the moment – plus Romelu Lukaku on loan at Everton – they could look to strengthen further with the addition of the former Atletico Madrid star.
After Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata dismissed a short-term move to Arsenal, manager Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that no deal exists which will see the 21-year-old head to the Emirates until the end of the season. “Morata remains with us because we need a footballer like him at Real Madrid this season,” said Ancelotti. “Although he has not played many matches this season I have confidence in his work for the team.”
Another player that was linked with a move to Arsenal was West Brom midfielder Youssef Mulumbu, but following his claim that he never spoke of a move to the Gunners, Baggies’ manager Steve Clarke has admitted that he has spoken to the Congo international and has no problem with him. "Of course I have spoken to him and the club have also spoken to him. We are happy with his explanation and it's done and dusted for me. “The gist of the article is that he is ambitious and what is wrong with that?”
Moving across to west London, Fulham manager Rene Muelensteen has eased fears that striker Dimitar Berbatov is looking to leave the club in January after his agent claimed the 32-year-old wants a move. “I've not seen or heard what he's said, but if anyone knows Dimitar it's me,” said Muelensteen. “Look at that performance tonight and tell me he doesn't want to play for this club. If he continues playing at that level he's one of the three best players in the league.”
Sweden Under-17 striker Valmir Berisha is said to be close to a move to Liverpool
Meanwhile, ‘the next Zlatan Ibrahimovic’ could be heading to the Premier League as it appears Liverpool are closing in on young Swedish striker Valmir Berisha. The Sweden Under-17 star currently plays for Halmstads, but they are believed to be in negotiations with the Reds which if successful would see the 17-year-old fast-tracked into Brendan Rodgers’ first team squad.
