Transfer rumours: Chelsea's Eden Hazard tells teammates he will 'certainly be joining PSG' next summer - reports

After rumours of the Parisian side's willingness to bid €60m for the Belgium star, he reportedly expresses a desire to leave

Paris Saint Germain target Eden Hazard has reportedly told his Chelsea teammates that he will 'certainly' leave for the Ligue 1 champions next summer after rumours surfaced of a €60m bid yesterday morning.

French newspaper Le Parisien revealed the as-yet unfounded story with Hazard quoted as saying: "I will certainly be joining Paris next summer."

The Parisian club are renowned for their aggressive pursuits of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva and are hoping to repeat the feat with the Blues midfielder.

Yesterday Le 10 Sport also suggested that PSG manager Laurent Blanc and chairman Nasser Al-Khelaïfi have put Hazard at the top of their summer hit list.

After signing Uruguayan striker Edison Cavani in the summer for £53m, they've proven their readiness to spend before.

The article, published this morning, continues to state that "it is too early" to say that an agreement has been reached between the two Champions League rivals but Hazard's willingness to move "indicates that it is more than just a hypothetical move."

It remains to be seen whether Hazard would entertain a move, however, after impressing in England during the previous eighteen months.

Blues manager Jose Mourinho is thought to be aware of the interest and has asked the Chelsea hierarchy to secure the Belgian international on a new long-term deal, which would involve a significant pay increase to ward off any offer from PSG.
