Pavlyuchenko to Spartak
Roman Pavlyuchenko has again been linked with a move away from Tottenham, with Spartak Moscow willing to pay £10m for the Russian. "We need a good striker," Spartak coach Valery Karpin said of the 27-year-old. "If the price was £10m we would seriously consider it."
Villa close to Dunne deal
Aston Villa's £6m move for Manchester City defender Richard Dunne has moved closer following Joleon Lescott's arrival at Eastlands.
Al Muhammadi move near
Sunderland are close to signing ENPPI 21-year-old defender Ahmed Al Muhammadi on a season-long loan. "A player for the future," Steve Bruce said.
Blues hand striker a trial
Vojvodina striker Danijel Aleksic is to spend a week on trial at Manchester City. "Further discussion will depend on the impression of the player," Vojvodina director Miodrag Pantelic said.
Coleman issues warning
Coventry City would rebuff any offers for goalkeeper Keiren Westwood. The 24-year-old has been linked with a switch to Everton. "There have been no offers, no conversations," manager Chris Coleman said. "And I don't want any."
