The Internazionale midfielder Sulley Muntari is a target for Tottenham on the last day of the summer transfer window today. The Ghana midfielder, 26, whom Redknapp sold to Inter when he was Portsmouth manager, has fallen out of favour under new manager Rafael Benitez. Spurs have missed out on the Brazilian Luis Fabiano, who yesterday signed a contract extension to stay at Seville until 2013.

Manchester City will make one more attempt to loan out the striker Roque Santa Cruz today, with Lazio the preferred destination ahead of Fulham, who have tried to take him for the rest of the season. City will be expected to contribute to his wages.

The future of City's unsettled striker Robinho could be resolved this evening. Barcelona and Milan are both reportedly interested in signing the Brazilian.

Birmingham City are locked in talks with Arsenal over bringing the left-back Armand Traoré to St Andrew's on a season-long loan. The 20-year-old appears to be the third-choice at the Emirates, with Gaël Clichy and Kieran Gibbs ahead of him.

The West Ham manager, Avram Grant, has said the club hope to bring the Tottenham forward Robbie Keane, 30, to Upton Park. The Hammers are languishing at the foot of the table and Grant wants to strengthen his striking options. "The club has big, big debts but he's a player I would like to get," Grant said.

The Stoke City chairman, Peter Coates, has confirmed the club are in talks with Monaco striker Eidur Gudjohnsen, 30, over a season-long loan deal.

Wigan have contacted Chelsea over the possibility of bringing the 21-year-old striker Franco di Santo to the DW Stadium. The Latics have also agreed a deal to sign Manchester United youngster Tom Cleverley, 21, on loan.

Mikaël Silvestre, the former Manchester United and Arsenal defender, has joined Bundesliga side Werder Bremen on a two-year contract.
