What will it take to prize Harry Kane away from Tottenham?

After scoring 31 goals in his first campaign leading the Tottenham frontline, Harry Kane is considered one of the hottest young strikers in Europe. Spurs’ resolve will be tested in this summer’s transfer window as prolific strikers are not in great supply.

However, Tom Collomosse, Football Correspondent at the London Evening Standard, is not convinced that clubs will want to match Tottenham’s sky-high valuation of the young star.

The major stumbling block is the £50 million+ price tag that Tottenham have put on Kane. Despite 31 goals in his first season at the top level; the price still represents a risk as the young striker could end up as a one season wonder.

Also, unlike recent Tottenham star players like Gareth Bale, Luka Modric and Dimitar Berbatov; Kane is not showing any sign of wanting away from the North London club.

The most likely outcome in this transfer window is for Kane to be offered an improved contract to make him one of the top earners at the club.
