Video: Latest transfer news - Manchester United sign Marcos Rojo as Marco Reus and Thomas Muller snub offers

A run-down of today's best gossip

Check out the latest football transfer gossip with our daily video round-up.

On Wednesday Manchester United dominated the transfer headlines after the club announced their third signing of the summer: Marcus Rojo from Sporting Lisbon.

Rojo joins United for a cool £16m with Luis Nani returning to his old club in Lisbon on a season-long loan as part of the deal.

This good news for United was tempered somewhat by the news that Marco Reus and Thomas Muller both rejected a move to Old Trafford over the summer.

Muller admitted to German newspaper Bild that he said no thanks to an "astronomical" offer made by United. Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo said that he had not made a move for Reus and that United had tried and failed with a huge bid to sign the Borussia Dortmund star.

Elsewhere, Barcelona have been banned from signing any new players until 2016 by Fifa, although the Spanish giants have said they will take the case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Back in England, Sunderland have registered interest in Danny Welbeck after becoming exasperated with their attempts to sign Fabio Borini from Liverpool.

And lastly, the Sami Khedira transfer saga continues after the midfielder was left out of the Real Madrid squad in the Spanish Super Cup, raising yet more questions about his future.
