In Wednesday news, Liverpool are reported to have made an £18m move for Paris Saint-Germain and Argentina striker Ezequiel Lavezzi. Brendan Rodgers has been searching for a striker since the £75m sale of Luis Suarez earlier this summer.
Manchester United's protracted big-money move for the Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal has hit perhaps its biggest stumbling block, after it was revealed that Louis van Gaal harbours concerns over the Chilean's lingering knee injury.
A former coach of Zlatan Ibrahimovic's has claimed the Paris Saint-Germain striker wants to return to his former club Juventus. Stefan Hansson, a former coach of Ibrahimovic's at Swedish club Malmo, says the superstar striker told him he could return in the next year.
