In Tuesday's news, Liverpool are the latest side to be linked with a move for free agent Samuel Eto’o after the Cameroon striker left Chelsea at the end of last season.
Eto’o is on the lookout for a new club after Chelsea elected not to offer him a new deal, bringing in Diego Costa in a £32m deal from Atletico Madrid and resigning club legend Didier Drogba.
Elsewhere, Real Madrid’s manager has said Sami Khedira will stay with the club this summer. The industrious midfielder has been linked with a host of clubs ever since his nation's triumph in Brazil, with Arsenal in particular among those known to have expressed an interest.
Mats Hummels looks set to remain in Germany. Speaking after a 4-0 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp told reporters that the defender would not be leaving Germany. "He (Hummels) is going nowhere. He is staying with us," said Klopp.
Chelsea could land Roma centre-back Mehdi Benatia before the end of the week, according to reports. It’s claimed that Jose Mourinho is ready to spend £30m on the centre-back.
