Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain returns to Arsenal training and says making England's World Cup squad would be a 'dream come true'
Midfielder makes a timely comeback with Theo Walcott sidelined for six months

In the wake of the news that Theo Walcott will be out for the remainder of the season with damaged knee ligaments, here are some pictures to cheer up the Arsenal faithful - Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain back in full training, ready to assume the right wing mantle for the Gunners, and, the midfielder hopes, for England at the World Cup later this year.
The 20-year-old has not played since the opening game of the season, when he suffered a posterior cruciate injury in Arsenal's 3-1 defeat by Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium, but says he hopes to make his mark in the second half of the season to push for a place in Roy Hodgson's squad.
"As a young guy growing up watching football and watching World Cups, this will be my first one [that I can play in],” Oxlade-Chamberlain told arsenal.com.
“Obviously I went to the Euros [in 2012], which was an amazing experience - and that's a massive achievement for me personally, especially as an 18-year-old boy. That was really special.
“But the World Cup is always that little bit more special because it's the world stage. If I was able to be selected and go to Brazil it would be a dream come true and something that I'm definitely striving towards."
It is expected that Oxlade-Chamberlain will first make an appearance for the Arsenal Under-21 team before his comeback for the senior side.
Just like Walcott, the midfielder signed for the Gunners from Southampton, and has made 60 appearances for the club, scoring six goals since joining in 2011.
