Brazil fans were left disconsolate with the embarrassing 7-1 defeat, but who was to blame for the shocking capitulation that saw an entire nation brought to its knees in the space of 29 minutes; David Luiz? Fred? Luis Felipe Scolari?
For some fans, their target wasn’t even on the pitch last night, as angry fans resorted to burning a Neymar shirt to vent their desperation at the record semi-final defeat.
Supporters were seen flooding out of the Estadio Mineirao before the half-time whistle had even sounded, while there was an eerie silence across the Copacabana beach – apart from the jubilant Germany fans in attendance.

Brazil 1 Germany 7 match report
Whether or not the fans in the video below were Brazil supporter is unknown, although one of them is seen in the national colours of green and yellow as they set fire to the number 10 shirt, worn by the poster boy of the World Cup Neymar.
The Barcelona forward was forced to watch the match from home after suffering a broken vertebra in the victory over Colombia, but even his inclusion is unlikely to have stopped the demolition that Germany dished out in Belo Horizonte.
There was immediate concerns that the crushing loss would trigger widespread anger on the streets of Brazil, given protestors have been active in their action against the government for spending £11 billion on staging the World Cup.
However, local reporters who took to the streets after the traumatic experience said the scene was not one of anger, but a mixture of frustration, confusion, sadness and sheer disbelief at what they had seen.
