England are confident defender Carl Jenkinson will receive international clearance in time to be involved in tomorrow's friendly international with Sweden in Stockholm.

The 20-year-old Arsenal player has represented England at Under-17 level and Finland for the Under-19 and Under-21s.

England head coach Roy Hodgson is keen to include the former Charlton player in his plans.

He is optimistic Jenkinson can play some part at the Friends Arena.

Hodgson said: "Has Jenkinson got international clearance? We think so. I think it is coming tomorrow. We are assured it is coming."

Jenkinson trained with England prior to last month's World Cup qualifier with Poland after the withdrawal of Kyle Walker through injury.

Hodgson indicated he would include Jenkinson against the Swedes if the green light was given by Fifa.

He took part tonight in England's final training session at the stadium ahead of the game.
