British heavyweight David Price has been added to the undercard of his fellow Liverpudlian Paul Smith's rematch against Arthur Abraham for the WBO super-middleweight title in Berlin on 21 February.
Price (18-2) is rebuilding his career after back-to-back losses against veteran American Tony Thompson in 2013, and has won his last three fights in succession.
"It's great to be fighting on the undercard of such a big show," said Price. "I'm looking forward to getting back in the ring and reminding everyone what I'm all about. 2015 is going to be a big year for me, its important I get off to a good start on February 21.’’
Price's promoter Kalle Sauerland: "Next year is going to be David's time to shine. It's time to stand up and be counted. The heavyweight scene in the UK is flourishing at the moment, and it is still our belief that Pricey can beat anyone out there."
An opponent for Price is yet to be anounced.
Abraham-Smith II was confirmed this week, after their battle back in September ended by a controversial unanimous decision win for Abraham, with the contest seeming far closer than the three judges saw it at ringside.
