Floyd 'Money' Mayweather has won over $800k after a series of bets came through for him this weekend, including putting a few quid on the man he seemingly refuses to fight, Gennady Golovkin.

Mayweather, who has shared pictures of huge winnings in the past, bet on a combination of basketball and boxing to win $827k (£527) from a $350k stake (see betting slip below).

The ferocious Kazakh Golovkin defeated Willie Monroe inside six rounds on Saturday night in California to retain his WBA middleweight title. Mayweather had Golovkin to win in under 5.5 rounds.

Golovkin said before his victory at the weekend: "I know Floyd is very smart, he is businessman. He want fight with me? OK, let's do it."

Mayweather will fight again in September in what he says is his final bout. His opponent is yet to be announced, with Britain's Amir Khan currently the bookies' favourite.

The unbeaten Mayweather, who is set to earn over £300m for his unanimous points win over Manny Pacquiao earlier this month, has boosted his already bursting bank balance yet again.

Posting a picture of his winnings this weekend, Mayweather wrote on Instagram: "The last 4 days have been great. I'm getting paid while watching others entertain and perform. I don't do anything for free. I bet $350,000.00 and walked away with $827,272.73."
