Double Olympic gold medallist Nicola Adams will challenge WBO World Flyweight champion Arely Mucino at London’s Royal Albert Hall on March 8.

Adams defeated Isabel Millan on points last October to win the interim title and will now challenge for full honours in just her sixth professional fight.

“Winning a world title is what I got into professional boxing for and I believe it is my destiny to do so and ultimately unify the flyweight division,” Adams said.

“To get this opportunity after just five professional fights is an achievement in itself and I am so thankful to my promotional team for making it happen.

“To fight for the world title at the Royal Albert Hall is a dream come true when you consider the great names that have performed there and I want to make this another memorable occasion.”

On the undercard, highly touted heavyweight prospect Daniel Dubois will face Romanian former world title challenger Razvan Cojanu, while Wales’ Liam Williams defends his British middleweight title against Joe Mullender.
