Kevin Brown's powerplay hat-trick helped Manchester Storm to a 5-3 win over Ayr Scottish Eagles at the MEN Arena.

The victory put Manchester level on points with second-placed London Knights - and eight behind leaders Sheffield Steelers - but they remain third on goal difference. Brown scored Storm's second, third and fourth goals on the night after Matt Eldred had cancelled out Mike Harding's opener for the Panthers. Jonathan Weaver and Teeder Wynne both scored markers to keep the Eagles in the hunt at 3-2 and 4-3, but Rob Trumbley sealed the win with an empty net goal 47 seconds from time.

The Bracknell Bees moved up to seventh, leapfrogging Ayr, after a resounding 7-1 win at Amen Corner against Nottingham Panthers. PC Drouin opened the scoring for the Panthers but Bracknell responded through Joe Cardarelli. A brace from Blake Knox kept the Bees in the ascendancy and goals from Stephane Roy, Brad Wingfield, Matej Bukna and Darren Hurley secured the victory.
