Team Sky's winning streak in the Tour de Romandie ended yesterday, but Bradley Wiggins kept the overall lead.

The 149.1km second stage, from Montbeliard to Moutier, was won by Jonathan Hivert, of Saur-Sojasun, in a sprint finish, with Wiggins' team-mate, Mark Cavendish, well back. Wiggins leads by seven seconds from Sky's Michael Rogers.

Last year's Giro winner, Alberto Contador, has been stripped of his title, for doping. The Italian Michele Scarponi will now be considered the 2011 champion.
