Defending champion Adrian Lewis was the first man to book a quarter-final spot at the PDC World Championship at Alexandra Palace in London as he saw off Wayne Jones 4-0 last night.

Lewis was in dominant form, claiming the first set 3-0 and dropping only four legs in total. "It's a great feeling to be through to the quarter-finals, and I'm on course to retain my title," he said.

Lewis will next face Terry Jenkins, who beat Justin Pipe 4-1 last night, delighting the crowd with a double-double finish. In the first game of the evening session an erratic Gary Anderson held off a stiff challenge from South African Devon Petersen to claim the final spot in the last 16.
