Equestrianism: Season may be extended
British Eventing is looking at the possibility of extending a weather-ravaged season into November.
The domestic eventing calendar would normally run from early March until mid-October, but wet conditions have played havoc with this year's schedule. High-profile events such as Badminton and Chatsworth were cancelled in May, while this weekend's Festival of British Eventing at Gatcombe Park in Gloucestershire has also been rained off.
