English amateur football team Old Robsonians, managed by England legend Peter Shilton, took part in a 5–a–side game against a rival German side managed by Horst Hrubesch. The match - England vs Germany: The Rematch - was won by the German side.

The game was an opportunity for England to face Germany once again after the World Cup Second Round defeat this summer. The public voted for the Old Robsonians to represent England.

Shilton commented: “I’m so proud of the team. They played with passion, determination and to a highly professional standard. The competition was tough but we can walk away with our heads held high knowing we played our best game. Well done to Germany. It’s been an absolute pleasure working with the Old Robsonians in the Holiday Inn rematch.”

Eleanor Conroy, spokesperson for Holiday Inn, said: “Many of our guests are passionate about football and this rematch was a chance for the Old Robsonians to fulfil their dream of playing for their country, be managed by Peter Shilton. They did a fantastic job representing England.”
