Snooker: John Higgins shows fighting spirit
Monday 14 January 2013
John Higgins kept his Betfair Masters title challenge on track with a battling comeback in a 6-3 win over Ali Carter at London's Alexandra Palace.
He trailed Carter 2-0 and should have gone 3-0 behind, but roared back with breaks of 117, 44, 46, 97 and 65 to win six of the next eight frames. "I could have thrown my cue into the crowd at 2-0 down, but I kept focused," said Higgins.
