Sport England has cut funding to tennis and judo, owing to poor participation figures.

The Lawn Tennis Association was handed a cut of £530,000 after an almost 25 per cent drop in the number of adults playing tennis since 2008. The British Judo Association also had its funding cut, by £353,000.

Both sports have been given new participation targets.
