Point-to-point: Supremism crowned

Horus's Cheltenham Foxhunter prospects were given a double boost on Saturday at Larkhill and Haydock.

Supremism, third to Horus last month, won the Coronation Cup at Larkhill, while the fourth, Gunner Welburn, followed up last year's success in the hunter-chase at the Lancashire course. Supremism was all out to hold off Fair Wind by a short-head and, as owner-trainer Helen Rees considers three miles stretches the winner's stamina, he will now concentrate on short-distance hunter-chases.

Mrs Rees added: "He missed point-to-pointing last season because of the foot and mouth, and then he won over hurdles for Charlie Mann. Now Charlie wants him back!"
