Ten years on from the Magnificent Seven that has passed into racing folklore, the one certainty about tomorrow's anniversary is that Frankie Dettori will not repeat the feat. The Italian, who went through the card at odds of 25,095-1 in 1996, has only five rides booked.
He is without mounts in either of the two-year-old features, the Royal Lodge Stakes and Fillies' Mile. "He's got five decent rides," said Dettori's agent, Ray Cochrane, "all with good chances."
The best is Librettist in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes, for Godolphin. Dettori will open the day on another for his retaining stable, Desert Chief, and also rides Vortex for Gay Kelleway, Indian Steppes for Philip McEntee and Establishment for Charles Cyzer.Reuse content
