The new owners of Bradford Bulls admit they face an anxious wait before they can begin planning for next season. The takeover by local businessman Omar Khan was yesterday ratified by the Rugby Football League's board of directors when it agreed to transfer membership to OK Bulls Ltd, the new company established to take the club out of administration.

But they must wait a little longer to discover whether or not the Bulls will be allowed to remain in the top flight or must start up again in the Championship.

Gerry Sutcliffe, the local MP who is honorary chairman of the new club, welcomed news of the ratification but called on the RFL to make a quick decision on the club's league status.

Meanwhile, Huddersfield Giants have confirmed the signing of forward Ukuma Ta'ai, aged 25, from the New Zealand Warriors.
