Bradford have called a press conference for today at which they are expected to announce the signing of Iestyn Harris.

Bradford have called a press conference for today at which they are expected to announce the signing of Iestyn Harris.

The Great Britain international left Leeds four years ago for a new career in rugby union with Cardiff, but announced last month that he wanted to return to his old game.

Harris also told the Rhinos that he did not consider himself bound by a contract which the club claimed committed him to return to them. Leeds have insisted on compensation from Bradford, possibly in the form of players.

Darren Turner's career at Huddersfield is over following the news that he will not play again this season because of a knee injury and will not be offered a new contract.

The hooker will help coach the club's Academy players, as well as training in an attempt to recover his fitness and find a new club.

The Wigan assistant coach, Denis Betts, could face action from the Rugby League after complaining that his side was deprived of victory in the draw at Hull on Tuesday night by a bad decision from the video referee, Geoff Berry. The League has called for a tape of comments made to Sky TV immediately after the game.
