Huddersfield suffer O'Donnell blow
Thursday 19 May 2011
Huddersfield will be without Luke O'Donnell for the next six weeks, while the Australian loose forward will also miss the Exiles match next month. O'Donnell suffered a freak hamstring tear in the warm-up before the 40-18 home win over St Helens on Saturday.
His absence will be a blow to the Giants as O'Donnell has generally been regarded as the season's best import so far. and was one of the first players picked in the Exiles squad to play England at Headingley on 10 June. The overseas squad's coach Brian McClennan is expected to name a replacement back-rower and yesterday called up Leeds' New Zealand Test full-back Brent Webb.
Diving in at the deep end is no excuse for shirking the style stakes
