Hull rivals face tribunal over crowd trouble
Hull Kingston Rovers have achieved their objective by surviving in Super League, but the club and their star player face Rugby League tribunals later this month.
Rovers' shock 42-6 victory over Hull on Sunday banished the threat of relegation, but both clubs have been ordered to appear at a hearing on 17 September into crowd trouble when they met at New Craven Park in July. Supporters clashed on the field after the game and the clubs have been charged with failing to control their spectators.
Paul Cooke, who moved controversially from Hull to Rovers in mid-season, is to face charges of making an illegal approach to a club while registered with another. Cooke got the move he wanted, claiming that he was technically out of contract at Hull, but a tribunal on 24 September will decide whether he was guilty of breaking the game's by-laws.
